the vixen
Salome is the teenage vixen who gets anything she wants—or else. She's desperate to kiss the lips of John the Baptist, and will kiss them, even if she must remove his head to do it.

Richard Strauss's Salome, along with its seductive "Dance of the Seven Veils," was banned in Berlin and London when it first appeared, and for years many American opera companies refused to produce it. Modern audiences have embraced the work for what it is — exceptional music and powerful drama.

Sung in German with English Supertitles
