World Voice Day is a Celebration of the Human Voice
Every year on April 16th, voice health professionals worldwide join together to celebrate World Voice Day.

In most instances, it is unconsciously used and abused by smoking, shouting, drinking, poor speaking and/or singing techniques, to the point where problems occur. “Celebrate World Voice Day”
Raise awareness of your vocal health while you enjoy wonderful performances of popular musical theater, opera, gospel and rock and rock, as you celebrate the human voice with a special concert led by Adam D. Rubin, MD and Cristina Jackson-Menaldi, PhD, directors of the Lakeshore Professional Voice Center, Lakeshore ENT and special guests.

“The Human Voice—A Celebration of Sound”
An evening of concert, featuring performances by musical talent and local artists from around the Metropolitan Detroit community, performing various singing styles including opera, jazz, pop, rock and choral performances. Hosted by the Henry Ford Medical Center for the Performing Artist, a multidisciplinary medical team specializing in the care of the voice for performers.

World Voice Day Celebration at the Detroit Opera House, home of Michigan Opera Theatre
Invest in your vocal health. Dr. Adam D Rubin, MD and Dr. Cristina Jackson-Menaldi, PhD, directors of the Lakeshore Professional Voice center, Lakeshore ENT will discuss “Care of the Human Voice” followed by an open interactive Q&A session. An educational event which addresses the concerns of how to maintain a healthy voice for singers, actors, speakers, teachers, preachers, choral directors, parents of performers, professional and non-professional voice users of all styles, types and venues or any one who has a passion to learn more about the art and care of the voice.
