A three-day on-stage vocal master class in fundamentals of singing for young people and adults who are interested in opera and recital performance.

Who can participate: For singers with some vocal training
Age: High School through adult

Vocal Arts: All About Voice for Singers (222)

A vocal workshop to learn basic principles of voice production, vocal health and stage presence with “Open Mike” opportunity for constructive feedback.

Create & Perform (220)

A day camp (nine days) for young people who would like compose music, act, dance, write poetry and short stories, and learn improvisation with an opportunity to convert their creativity into a live performance!

Who can participate: No previous experience necessary
Age: 11 through high school
When: Mon-Fri, June 30 - July 11, 10am-4pm. No class July 4

Youth Workshops: Operetta Workshop (223)
Julie Anne Smith, Director of Vocal Music at Norup International School

A three-week day camp in which young people act, sing, dance, and prepare Gilbert & Sullivan's Iolanthe for a fully costumed, staged production. (An operetta is a short, light, musical drama.)

No audition required.

Who can participate: No previous experience necessary.
Age: 10 through high school
When: M-F, July 14 - Aug 1, 10am-4pm each day. Final performance is Friday, August 1 at 6pm

Vocal Arts: Arts Camp (219)
Julie Ann Newland, Master of Fine Arts; Drama/Theatre for Young People

A day camp (nine days) for children who will experience the art and drama of the opera. Children will learn basic acting skills, improvisational techniques, and encouraged to expand their creativity into a live performance.

Who can participate: No previous experience necessary.
Age: 6 - 10 years
