<Young professionals can access opera or dance tickets, plus drinks, for $20.>

What is access.opera / access.dance?

Access is a new program offered by the Detroit Opera House to make opera and dance more affordable and engaging for young professionals and students, ages 18-45.

Access members receive special access to main floor seats for Wednesday evening performances of opera, or Saturday evening performances of dance productions. Access tickets also include a complimentary drink at an exclusive post-performance reception, where you can mingle with your peers and often even meet members of the cast!

Just launched last year, Access events have already drawn hundreds of students and young professionals from all over metro Detroit to experience Michigan Opera Theatre’s world-class performances. Whether you are already an opera or dance fan, or you want to give it a try for the first time, this is a great opportunity to enjoy all that the Detroit Opera House has to offer.

How does it work?

Young Professionals: You can try opera or dance for only $20 on the main floor, a savings of over 75%! Young professionals may attend two performances of any opera or dance production for $20 per ticket. Limit two tickets per person, and guests must be 18-45.

After attending two performances at the $20 entry level, young professionals may either subscribe to the remaining opera or dance season for $35 each per performance or purchase single tickets for $45 each (This is still ½ price!).

Students: With a valid student ID, you receive access to $20 main floor seats for all Access events. Limit two tickets per person and guests must be 18-45. Students can also subscribe to any combination of two or more dance or opera performances for only $20 per ticket.

All Access tickets will be held at will-call for pickup. A valid photo ID must be shown to pick up tickets (or a valid student ID for student tickets).
